Sell your products in different currencies

Updated this week

If you're selling a digital product, paid newsletter, or service with ConvertKit Commerce, you can let customers pay for it in one of these supported currencies:

  • USD · US Dollar

  • EUR · Euro

  • GBP · Pound Sterling

  • CAD · Canadian Dollar

  • AUD · Australian Dollar

  • NZD · New Zealand Dollar

How to set up your product's currency

Start by creating a new product. You'll see the option to choose your product's currency on the Product Price page. The default currency is USD:

Once you select your preferred currency, the Price setting will automatically update to show it.

Then, finish the rest of the steps for creating your product, and you're good to go!

How does selling in different currencies affect fees?

The cost of using ConvertKit Commerce to sell in USD is the industry standard of 3.5% + $0.30 processing fee per transaction.

Because of the exchange rates in different currencies, fees may vary.

Here are the fees per currency:

  • USD · US Dollar · 3.5% + $0.30

  • GBP · Pound Sterling · 3.5% + £0.20

  • EUR · Euro · 3.5% + 0.25€

  • CAD · Canadian Dollar · 3.5% + $0.30

  • AUD · Australian Dollar · 3.5% + $0.30

  • NZD · New Zealand Dollar · 3.5% + $0.30

For example, if you're a US-based creator who receives payouts in USD but you made a sale on a product whose price is in EUR, you will be charged the EUR fee of 3.5% + 0.25€ for the transaction.

Can I sell the same product in multiple currencies?

No, each product can be sold in only one currency. You will need to create multiple versions of the product and choose a different currency for each version.

Can a customer choose their currency?

Since a product can be sold in only one currency, the customer won't be able to choose the currency they'll use to pay for it.

Can I change an existing product's currency?

Unfortunately, it isn't possible to modify a product's currency once it has been created. You'll need to create a new product and set it up with the currency of your choice.

Which currency will the Purchases graph show?

The Purchases graph (found on the Subscribers page) shows sales figures for products being sold in a certain currency, and only one currency at a time. This currency is USD by default.

Click the currency dropdown menu to change the Purchases graph's currency.

Which currency are the welcome screen's New Revenue reports in?

When you log in to your ConvertKit account, you'll see a row of New Revenue reports at the top of the welcome screen:

These reports default to showing sales in USD.

If you sell in USD and one or more other currencies, the New Revenue reports will reflect only your USD sales.

On the other hand, if you sell only in a non-USD currency, the New Revenue reports will reflect your non-USD sales.
