Everything you need to install apps and integrations on ConvertKit

Updated over a week ago

ConvertKit is designed to work well with all your favorite third-party tools and extend its functionality with additional apps you install.

What are Apps?

Apps are external applications that you can install to extend the functionality of what you do with ConvertKit.

For example, you can install an app like KitBoard to get a kanban style view of your sales pipeline—it'll automatically pull in subscribers with tags that you set in ConvertKit, so you know who to reach out to next.

Apps are built by a community of developers. Learn more about building apps for ConvertKit here.

How to install an app

To install an app, click on the "+ Install" button of the app of your choice:

It'll then trigger the relevant relevant authentication flow. There are two different ones:

Authorization

There will be a confirmation screen for you to grant access to the third-party app you'd like to install. Once you click on "Grant access to XX", your app will be available for use immediately.

This is the flow for any app plugins that you install, like Mighty and SaavyCal, where you'll immediately see their content available in the content menu of your email editor.

Redirect to third-party application

You'll be redirected to the third party application's authentication flow, where you'll log in and grant access to the third-party to access your data. Once you've granted access, your app will be available for use immediately.

How to uninstall an app

To uninstall an app, you need to go to Settings > Advanced, and scroll to "Connected Partner Apps".

Next to the app that you'd like to uninstall, click "Revoke Access".

There will be an additional modal to confirm that you'd like to uninstall the app. Once you click "Revoke Access" again, you'll have uninstalled an app.

How to troubleshoot an app

If you need support for any of the apps that you have installed, please refer to their listed support article and reach out to their support.

We do not provide any support on third-party apps.

What are Integrations?

Integrations allow you to sync and pass data between ConvertKit and a third-party tool that you use.

For example, you can integrate with Podia, which will allow any new online course customers who aren't on your list to be added and tagged in ConvertKit. Subscriber information is automatically synced and shared for you to use.
