Why is my sending email address pending?

You'll need to confirm a sending ('from') address before you can send emails via ConvertKit. Here's what to do if you're having trouble!

When setting up your ConvertKit account, one of the most important steps is to confirm your sending email address.

When you add a sending address (otherwise known as a 'from' address) to your account, a confirmation email will be sent to that address. You'll need to click the 'Verify your email' button in that email once it arrives:

After you add your sending email address on the email settings page in your account, we'll send the confirmation email to it automatically.

To find your email settings, click on your profile gravatar, and then click Settings. Next, from the lefthand sidebar, choose Email.

From here, you can enter a new sending email address.

If you’re not receiving the confirmation email:

1. Make sure to check your spam and/or promotion folders

Please note that if the email is in your spam folder, the confirm button might not work, so please drag & drop it into your inbox and confirm it from there.

2. Try to send it again

You can do this by clicking “Resend Confirmation” next to the sending address you’re trying to confirm in your account’s email settings:

If you've checked your spam/promotions folder(s) and attempted a resend and the confirmation email still hasn’t arrived, it might have bounced. Please contact our support team and we can help you with that!
